Frequently Asked Questions
Does your practice take insurance?
Dr. Agan operates as an out-of-network, direct care provider — a choice made specifically to give you a better experience. By stepping outside the insurance system, we're free from the restrictions, paperwork, and rushed visits that come with it. That means longer appointments, more direct time with Dr. Agan, same-day or next-day availability, and care decisions based on what's best for you rather than what an insurance company will approve — all with transparent, predictable pricing and no surprise bills. Payment is due at the time of service.
Can I still use my insurance benefits?
Yes! You can use your insurance for any scans, labs, or medications that are ordered. If surgery is indicated, your insurance can typically be used for anesthesia and facility fees, since those are billed separately from our office.
Is this a membership model? Can I ask follow-up questions anytime after my visit?
We operate on a fee-for-service model, not a membership or subscription. This is different from concierge or membership-based practices that include unlimited messaging or check-ins for a recurring fee. Each visit covers the care provided during that appointment. Simple scheduling questions — like booking, rescheduling, or billing — are always welcome anytime. However, any medical questions for Dr. Agan, including new symptoms or concerns related to your visit, require a scheduled follow-up appointment. This ensures Dr. Agan can properly evaluate your questions and give you the time and attention they deserve, keeping every appointment unhurried and your care fully documented.
Can I get a prescription refill without an appointment?
Existing patients seen within the last 3 months can request a refill of their current prescription without scheduling a new visit. If it's been longer than 3 months since your last appointment, or you're requesting a new medication, a follow-up visit is required so Dr. Agan can properly reassess your care.
What happens if I am late to my appointment?
We ask that you arrive on time to make the most of your visit. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, your appointment time may be limited or you may need to be rescheduled, so that we can stay on track for the patients scheduled after you. Please plan ahead for parking, as finding a spot can sometimes take extra time — we recommend arriving a few minutes early to account for this.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, HSA/FSA cards, Care Credit, and cash.
Our pricing is straightforward and transparent:
Adult new patient consultation: $475 (50-minute appointment)
Pediatric new patient consultation: $300 (30-minute appointment)
Follow-up appointments: $250 (20-minute appointment)
Each appointment includes a nasal endoscopy exam if needed, at no additional charge.
Do you offer same-day or next-day appointments?
Yes, we often have availability for same-day or next-day appointments.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations or no-shows will incur a $75 fee.
